A Day in the Lifestyle – October

THIS IS A COASTER!!! FROM TARGET!! GET IT HERE!

Hello! And welcome to another day in our everyday lives. I’m so glad you’re here!

I feel like we’ve been so busy lately, but….actually, no. I think I’ve just been reading/working/studying too much. Anyway, let’s get started.

Morning Routine: You, as always, can read my full morning routine here.

Also got my October planner set up and my October mani done. I usually get some sort of Halloween nails in October , but we are going to Savannah next weekend and I didn’t really want Halloween nails for the trip.

Breakfast: Overnight oats with frozen blueberries are still getting a lot of play around here. This is why I buy in bulk when things are on sale. We will likely be having these for the next few months, off and on, because I was able to freeze so many blueberries from the summer sales.

Snacks: I finally got the apple butter made. I still haven’t done the jam, but will soon.

Drinks: Oh, you guys. Look what my friend, Crystal, sent. It’s from Beshaler Hot Chocolate and it’s so good. To be honest, I would have loved it for the Wayne’s World reference, even if it was total crap, but it’s not.

Dan and I also visited Eli Fish Brewery in Batavia, NY. I recommend It’s Sherbet Day! for a good beer. And those fries were pretty good, too.

Family Time: It was my sister’s birthday!

There’s this adorable little restaurant just about a half mile or so from our apartment called Happy Days on the Go. Dan, Bizi, and I went over there for sundaes the other day. They were so good! Highly recommend!

And then Dan and I went to Akron, NY and enjoyed a short hike to see Akron Falls.

We are also still running 2.5 miles three times per week.

Supper: We had red beans and rice, tuna melts, and chili. It may not be cold outside, but my kitchen doesn’t know that.

Evening Routine: You can read my full evening routine here. I don’t really have much to mention for this, as not much has changed in my routine. Still using the same skin care.

Speaking of evening routines, Dan takes out our trash every evening as part of his routine and the other night, he snapped these pictures of the sunset.

Evening Reading: First, The Book of Magic. This is the final installment of the Practical Magic series, which is one of my all-time favorites. I also read The Neighbors Secret (fun thriller – worth the read), Sankofa (excellent work – highly recommend), and The Umbrella Lady (ummm…a little different).

The Last Word:

*The Lineup has a great article on where to find those cheesy horror movies perfect for Halloween.

*Speaking of articles, if you don’t read The Skimm, you really should consider checking it out. It’s my favorite daily news email newsletter – I’ve been reading for years!

And that’s a wrap, my friends. Thanks so much for joining me!
