A Day in the Lifestyle – March

Good morning! And welcome. So glad you popped in to see what we are doing around here.

Morning Routine: You guys! I slept in this morning! In order for me to get my entire morning routine done by 10:00 AM on weekends (or any days I’m not working), I am always out of bed by 7:00 AM at the latest (usually way before). I slept in until 9:00 AM this morning! Oh my. Whoopsie.

Once I got around to getting out of bed (!!!)…

I had a new makeup primer to try out this morning that I predicted I was really going to like – and I was right! As I’ve mentioned before, I am a huge fan of the Makeup Forever Redness Correcting Primer. I’ve found a few that are an okay second, but this one is my favorite. However, there is now a tie. I tried out the Tarte SEA Quench Hydrating Primer and I love it. I have always loved Tarte products, so I am not surprised at all. My foundation adhered perfectly to this and gave a great smooth finish. I strongly suggest trying it out.

Breakfast: I made Strawberry Donuts. They were pretty good. I’m trying not to eat much of what my family members are enjoying because I will come out of quarantine weighing 900 lbs. But from what I tasted, you should make some.

Lunch: We had pb&j, grapes, and carrots with ranch. Nothing too fun. I’m trying to find some fun lunches, though.

Tasks: My afternoon was full of tasks. I ordered Dan’s contacts from Eyeconic, put in a grocery delivery order, ordered a new nebulizer (my asthmatic son is an adult now and we want to be sure he has access to breathing treatments at both his apartment and our house – just in case), and ordered a care package of Nyquil, Dayquil, tylenol, ibuprofen, Sudafed and Mucinex for my other adult son. We are serious about not spreading germs here. Our adult children have been told that if they come here, they stay here – for weeks, months, however long it takes for things to return to “normal.” Thus far, they have elected not to be trapped back at home with their parents and siblings. (I think at 20 and 22, I would have chosen the same!)

Snacks: Bizi asked me to make her some chocolate chip cookies. So that was our snack for today.

Dinner: I made a Chicken Noodle Casserole that I think you all will really like. I have to make two whenever we have this because the kids love it.

Family Time: I may have kept out some of the cookie dough from those chocolate chip cookies. Family time possibly consisted of cookie dough and a First 48 marathon. And maybe some Winking Owl Moscato (which we are now out of. Sad times because I’m not going back to Aldi for more).

First 48, A&E, TV, television, entertainment

Evening Routine: Dishes took forever since I used almost every dish in the house baking and cooking today. Whoops. Two loads laundry were folded and put away. Two loads of laundry in our washer is like six loads in a typical washer. It holds so much clothing! Perfect for our big family, but wow!

I also spent some time reading The Handmaid’s Tale. I’m only about four chapters in, but it’s quite intriguing. So far very vague, but definitely intriguing.

And that’s a wrap! I would love to hear what everyone is doing to pass the time while we try to stay home and stay healthy. Feel free to share in the comments.
