Garlic & Butter Pasta

This is one of the easiest, cheapest recipes I have in my stockpile. Perfect for nights you realize you forgot to plan something, have too much planned, or didn’t get a chance to get to the grocery store.

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz. pkg. pasta, uncooked (any kind of pasta will work for this)
  • 2 sticks of butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded Parmesan cheese (not the kind in the green can)
  • salt and pepper

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and return to pot.

Melt one stick of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Mince garlic and add to skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic. Add the other stick of butter. When melted, add butter and garlic to pasta. Stir until coated.

Add Parmesan cheese to pasta and stir until all the pasta is coated with cheese.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve with a side of salad and crusty bread, if you have them on hand. If not, no one at my house has ever complained about it being served alone. Super quick, super easy, and kids love it.
