Pineapple Sangria

Martha Zepeda, a lovely person in one of my favorite online book clubs, Paper & Glam Book Club, shared her recipe for Pineapple Sangria with me a couple of weeks ago. And if quarantine in this beautiful weather has got you dreaming about cool waves and sunny beaches, here’s a perfect summer drink for you!

Ingredients:

  • Bottle of white wine (we used Aldi’s Winking Owl Moscato – cheap and yum)
  • 46 oz. can of pineapple juice
  • 20 oz. can pineapple chunks
  • tequila, to taste
  • Malibu rum, to taste
  • Sprite, to taste

*Note: You want to use the whole bottle of wine and the whole can of pineapple juice. We used the whole can of pineapple chunks, as well.

We chilled ours in the freezer for about 45 minutes after this. You can do as you like, but this is better cold (I may have snuck some after only 20 minutes of chilling and it wasn’t cold enough. It was still good, but just not quite cold enough).

This made a pretty large amount, as you can probably tell from the recipe. I used a large container that I usually use for punch or sun tea during backyard get-togethers. After we had our fill and needed to store the rest, we transferred it into these cute little…I don’t know what these are…are these carafes? Anyway, I got them at Target and I love them.
